Preparation, Responsibility, Tradition and Family sums up the philosophy of Arroyo Seco Baseball. Built on these four pillars, Arroyo Seco set out in 2004 to help graduating student-athletes prepare for the transition to college. Arroyo Seco has since grown into one of the West Coast’s premiere baseball programs. History lives here: Based in the ‘Crown City’ of Pasadena, Calif., the home of Arroyo Seco Baseball is Brookside Park’s Jackie Robinson Memorial Field. In the early and mid-1900’s, both the Chicago Cubs and Chicago White Sox each used Brookside Park during spring training. Fast forward: As Arroyo Seco looks to write its own piece of history, the program is off to an impressive start earning an overall record of 280-97-4 in its first 12 seasons. Most recently from 2012-14, Arroyo Seco made back-to-back-to-back appearances in the Palomino World Series facing top competition from around the United States and international teams from Puerto Rico, China and more. Arroyo Seco players consistently move on to compete around the country at leading collegiate programs in the Pac-12, SEC, Big West, West Coast, Big-10, Big-12, American and Atlantic 10 conferences. For three straight years from 2013-15, Arroyo Seco alumni have competed in the mecca of amateur baseball at the NCAA’s College World Series in Omaha, Neb. Major League Baseball franchises have drafted 20 Arroyo Seco players. In 2015 alone, seven Arroyo Seco alumni were selected by professional organizations during the three-day MLB First-Year Player Draft. Off the field and under the tutelage of well-respected baseball instructors, Arroyo Seco players hone their skills alongside professional and collegiate players at the PLAYMAKER training facility, a full-service indoor developmental complex located in Pasadena. As Arroyo Seco Baseball enters its 13th year of operation, the program is looking forward to it's flagship team, the Saints, joining the Sunset Baseball League and its respected collection of teams.
